Question:What is electric charge?
Electric charge is a physical property that particles (and objects) can have.
Electric charge comes in two types - positive electric charge and negative electric charge.
Particles that have a positive or negative electric charge exert forces of attraction and repulsion over other particles that also have electric charges.
The rule is that like charges repel and opposite charges attract.
So two positive or two negative charges will repel each other and only a positive will attract a negative.
Some particles have no electric charge and these are said to be neutral or neutrally charged.
