Question:Can noise be removed from a digital signal?

A lot of textbooks say you can remove noise from a digital signal, but strictly speaking this is not true.

The noise is still random and removal is still largely impossible.

BUT since the noise does not change the value of the signal, what you can do is read the signal and create a new signal that is exactly the same but with no noise.

This is called Regeneration.
